My question after reading it was if there were people who walked into Omelas. 🦊

I've read it years before and thought it was very interesting. Definitely reflects our some societies these days.

Thanks, I read it and it made me sad to think what society could do to maintain the status quo of comfort

Sadly, the idea is not far from the truth. It may not be as extreme as locking a kid and making them suffer for the ignorant happiness of everyone else, but it's happening in other ways
