Pardon my ignorance but I'm Australian and don't know stuff, what is "vkei?"

Vkei (Visual kei = Visual style) is a japanese subculture consisting of visual performance (extravagant makeup and clothing) of diverse music genre (jrock, jmetal etc) and it has many substyles, i would recommend you to discover it by yourself with some bands like the classics Malice Mizer, X Japan, Buck-Tick, Di en Grey or The GazettE. My personal favorite are Kuroyuri to Kage, Madmans Esprit and Memento Mori.

I keep saying "I'm Australian so I don't know this!"  It's a bit conservative down here so if I try talking about this with other people, they don't know about it.  I have to explain nearly everything.  From memory I think there's a Goth on YT called JK Rasa who did a video on these bands....
