The End of Days is a dark subject, obviously. I have a download of 3hrs of Rune Songs and one of them is about Ragnarok. It gives me the chills when I hear it. 😨 Just thought this picture would take the edge off and give everyone else a laugh. 😉

I totally don't mind at all. I actually think that's a more detailed way of saying it and find it very agreeable. 😊

True! My mum used to say to me "the world ends every day for someone...." she wasn't very bright but I always thought that one thing she said was really profound.

....also, I read A New Age by Eckhart Tolle. A philosophy book inspired by the Revelations from the Bible. Going by that and various other sources, Revelations isn't as bad as what most people think. It points out that human society will get to a breaking point until the majority of people will become more educated and enlightened.

For me it's Ragnarok. Ragnarok is very dark (literally) and disturbing but if you pay attention and think about it, it's also very ordinary in that 'day-to-day' life horrible things like family betrayal and murder happen, there's often a battle or some war in the world and the other aspects of Ragnarok metaphorical for the end of life cycle and relevant environmental issues. But at the end of Ragnarok there are two survivors, Magni and Modi who go away and recreate the world......something like that. I guess that's about life beginning, ending and beginning again, hope at the and and a re-creation.

Nah....at least not quite. It's been point out to me that majority of Canberrans tend to be 'clicky.' Roller Derby was really popular when it started, you couldn't get tickets to a game unless you booked weeks in advance. After a few years it got quiet to the point where you could just walk into the stadium at 1/2 time and still get tickets. It's starting to pick up again and I think because of lockdown people are starved for sports and entertainment so the recent games we've had have been packed! 😃 Yeah, you're right. I've noticed that too but was hoping it was just here. Ha,ha! I always thought I was just being a whinging bitchh when I noticed it until two of my relatives comment on it....then I realised I was onto something.

Just thought of a good example of what Canberra's like, observation and communication is bad. For example, in 2013 the ANU (Australian National University) held a Manga/Animae Convention. I heard of it, there were posters around the campus about it, pretty sure FB advertised it. Anyway I went to it and really enjoyed it. Afterwards I asked a friend who studies at ANU and is a fan, if she went and her response was "What?" LOL I can't explain what's wrong with Canberra people but there are signs, advertisements, posters around about stuff people would like but they're completely oblivious to it. I come across this heaps of times.

Canberra's conservative in the way that everyone is expected to behave in a particular way, there's no displaying of emotion, enthusiasm or personality. We're only supposed to like certain things and anything outside that realm is unknown or wrong. That's the attitude I grew up with. It's better now because the local government were pushing to have people move here and work but eventually when you get a population from Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne and around the world you're going to attract different types of people. Also, they're going to want to do more than work, play sport or watch football, eat meat pies and fart. LOL So yeah, it's improved a lot since I was young but still....

LOL It takes all kinds to make up the world.

LOL 😆I think they moved. Canberra's improved a lot but is still conservative. Also, it's a satellite city where the majority of people move here for work (not the lifestyle) and after a while they move back to Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane. When I was kid the majority of people I went to school with were from Sydney. They had families there and would brag about how much more exciting it is. I'd say I was born in Townsville and they would turn their nose up despite not knowing anything about it....funny thing is that pretty much sums up the core attitude of the people of Canberra I grew up with. Ha!

I've always wanted to play D&D but it wasn't popular in school when I was a kid. Didn't know many people that were into it until I joined the roller derby league. I attended 1 D&D night at a DVD/Music shop that also sold board games. Was AWESOME! Was my first complete D&D game and I really enjoyed it. I liked it so much, when I got home I started working on my won D&D character! I went with a Celtic mythology theme and made mine a redcap.....got a bit cartoony with it though.

Sorry to hear that, I understand. Another thing about Canberra too is it's clicky, making it hard to make friends and connect with people. Didn't you say you lived here a few years ago?

I just respond to your message. I appreciate your efforts though. I know I mention this a lot but the problem is Canberra's still conservative. I mean people are only intersted in certain things and that's it. Soooooo many bands I like which I found on YouTube and it's a very safe bet hardly anyone I'll meet would have heard about them. The Tea Party is one. They've been playing in Canberra on and off since '97 but out of the people I've talked to since then only three know the band. Even a popular 80's - 90's band like Faith No More and I hardly know anyone who's a fan. 😢
