A specific crowd of gamers

I find myself part of what feels like a lost crowd. Specifically gamers that were around the late 90s to early 2000s and played online games. Browser games were the largest by sheer number. There were some stand alone clients at the time too. But they weren't the Triple A games or the well known games you hear everybody talk about.  Does anybody else remember gaming in this era? do you remember playing things other than WoW, Runescape, or EQ? I think I miss the variety.
