Bleeding Streets

Beyond a doorway to this grim fable
Tears drip down bony, lanky gables
From clouds lurching to black from dim grey
Wilted sunshine shrouded in decay

Each drop a voice of a deathly choir
Harmony of spells that conspire
For children of night, girls of the moon
Against the creatures who roam at noon

Skirts and dresses blending with despair
Mysterious screaming in the air
Bleeding streets skipped happily upon
Into the shadows, hopelessly gone
